Hello.

My name is Jon. I'm 29 and married to an amazing woman.

I've been taking pictures since I was a kid. There was a time I had given up on photography, thinking that what I loved about it was disappearing. Then, I decided to pick up a camera again about a year and a half ago when my daughter was born.

I fell in love all over, realizing that while memories and details may fade away, feelings can last a lifetime. They lie somewhere beneath the surface just waiting for a song, a scent, or a photograph to bring them rushing back.

A truly great photograph captures much more than a likeness, it captures what it felt like to be there in that moment. My goal is to do that with every picture I take.

National Night Out

The city my wife works for puts this on every year. A lot of popcorn, games, candy, police dogs, and piñatas. But most of all, there’s a whole lot of kids. I love taking pictures of kids. For the most part they don’t mind having their picture taken. They have no problem showing their emotions and they are usually passionate about them. And last but not least they really know how to enjoy the simpler things in life. Not sure why we seem to forget those things as we get a little older but I’m pretty sure that when we really grow up we start to remember those things again.
